Of course! We can join you on your boat and be along side you while you take the helm. We will talk you through various manoeuvres and can demonstrate them to you if necessary. We want you to be confident at the end of the day and will try to give you as much time at the controls as possible.

I am sure you're not doing anything wrong, .there might just be other factors at play causing a few little headaches. We are more than happy to come along for a few hours and offer some hints and tips. Its always good to get an idea before hand though so a google map image of your mooring always helps. 

If you pass, Yes! The Helmsman and Diesel Engine courses are affiliated with the RYA and as such are internationally recognised certificates. Our one day training and confidence sessions however do not have certificates as they are all individually designed to meet the students requirements.

Normally yes, however we do have some restrictions, mainly from a safety and suitability point of view. We can do training on any pleasure boat on a UK river or canal (subject to river conditions). The boat must be registered, have a valid BSS Certificate and insurance. We will normally ask for a couple of photographs of the boat prior to agreeing the course. The boat must therefore be river-worthy with a working engine and steering controls. More information can be found in our terms and conditions. There are some boats we haven't yet carried out training on including Steam boats and Dutch Barges, but we are always looking for a new challenge.
